  1. The ascending chain condition (ACC) conjecture for local volumes predicts that the set of local volumes of Kawamata log terminal (klt) singularities x ∈ ( X , Δ ) x\in (X,\Delta ) satisfies the ACC if the coefficients of Δ \Delta belong to a descending chain condition (DCC) set. In this paper, we prove the ACC conjecture for local volumes under the assumption that the ambient germ is analytically bounded. We introduce another related conjecture, which predicts the existence of δ \delta -plt blow-ups of a klt singularity whose local volume has a positive lower bound. We show that the latter conjecture also holds when the ambient germ is analytically bounded. Moreover, we prove that both conjectures hold in dimension 2 as well as for 3-dimensional terminal singularities.

  3. Abstract We show that the K-moduli spaces of log Fano pairs $$({\mathbb {P}}^3, cS)$$ ( P 3 , c S ) where S is a quartic surface interpolate between the GIT moduli space of quartic surfaces and the Baily–Borel compactification of moduli of quartic K3 surfaces as c varies in the interval (0, 1). We completely describe the wall crossings of these K-moduli spaces. As the main application, we verify Laza–O’Grady’s prediction on the Hassett–Keel–Looijenga program for quartic K3 surfaces. We also obtain the K-moduli compactification of quartic double solids, and classify all Gorenstein canonical Fano degenerations of $${\mathbb {P}}^3$$ P 3 .

  4. Abstract We prove an algebraic version of the Hamilton–Tian conjecture for all log Fano pairs. More precisely, we show that any log Fano pair admits a canonical two-step degeneration to a reduced uniformly Ding stable triple, which admits a Kähler–Ricci soliton when the ground field .
